　このごろ思うのは、仔犬のときから、ずっと、
　犬はまじめだったなぁ、ということです。
　犬がふざけたことは、おそらく、一度もありません。
　いえ、犬も、よく遊ぶんですよ。
　わざと遠回りして、隠れんぼしながら
　ボールをくわえて戻ってきたり、
　なにかの玩具をひっぱりっこしたりして、遊びます。
　でも、ずっとまじめというか、「一心」なんですよね。
　いいとか、わるいとかじゃなくて、
　この人、っていうか、犬、生まれてから死ぬまで、
　ずっと「一心」なんだよなぁと思うと、
　ああ、そのことわかってやらなきゃなぁ、と、
　あらためて思うのです。
